Mohamed Nassar is a Ph.D. student in reliability engineering. His research is focused on using reinforcement learning and optimization in the field of risk analysis to support decision-making (e.g., maintenance scheduling). Prior to joining UMD, he received his bachelor’s and M.S. degrees both in mechanical engineering from Cairo University, Egypt. In his free time, Mohamed enjoys practicing origami and cooking.
