Joseph O’Leary is a PhD student in reliability engineering from Baltimore, Maryland. His research is on the development of new machine learning methods to support dynamic probabilistic risk assessment, with a focus on improving computational efficiency. Prior to joining the Zhao lab and the reliability engineering doctoral program, he graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in nuclear engineering in Spring 2022.
